Before You Begin

To begin application for a student visa you must first apply and be accepted by an institution that is SEVP-approved (Student and Exchange Visitor Program).

Once accepted, the student will receive Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status” from their Designated School Official (DSO).

Applying For Your Visa

Upon receiving Form I-20, you will need to pay the I-901 SEVIS fee. This can be covered by the applicant themselves, or the institution they are attending.

(This is not the visa application fee. That must be paid separately)
